Ethiopia

I often wonder how we get the conception that people from Ethiopia have nothing to eat. Every single time Jon & I go to Blue Nile we are STUFFED and amazed at how damn tasty everything is.

Today we enjoyed the same 'ol B1G1 free MPR special. GOSA GOSA A&B. Next time, 2 B's (what the heck, they're free). We enjoyed these the most:

Berberre lamb
Chicken w.egg
Foule = fava bean dish
Missiraa Diima = spicy red lentils (yum)
Cabbage or Kale (not Jon's favorite)
Fasuuliya for Jon (the green beans & carrots)


Can pass on:

Split peas,
Chickpeas (they're good, but same as red lentils - so ask if they give red lentils anyway).
Dark lentils


Seward bakery is not NEARLY as inspirational as the wedge - not even close. I did manage to find a cool cardamom coffee frosted angel food cake (no butter, hooray), and Jon ended up with a vegan pb choc chip cookie (not so great).. my mom opted for the fudge @ home.
